Overnight Macau

A forty-five minute Ferry ride from Hong Kong, Macau got the "convenience " vibe of a small amazing place to spend a layover. You can get around the city very easily either by foot or by buses, roaming around can be done within a day.  The structures and way of living here are very fondly because of the European influences which can be found everywhere ( pretty unusual for a Chinese dominating community ).

Walking the back street of Horta going St Paul's Ruins

As we settled our belongings to the hotel, we hurriedly went to explore Macau by foot. Good thing that our hotel, London Ole is just 30 minutes walk away from the center of the city. Get a map from the hotel and try to walk on narrow alleys and you will surely find Instagram worthy spots.

St. Paul's Ruins

The touristy spot of St. Paul's Ruins is a spiritual monument for St. Paul himself. This facade of a ruined cathedral symbolizes the great faith of the locals, with an exhibit of the excavated place at the back of the church. People who gather here take their time to hang out at the staircases and eat street foods located at the side of the ruins.

Trying to get the detailed part of the remaining facade of St. Paul's

One of the best things in life for me- watching people.

Beef Jerkyyy, Macau got the tastiest!

What captivates me most in Macau is the pleasure of tiring yourself walking along with the tourist's spots and finding stalls which have delectable food. I have never eaten bad food here, even catfish fishballs tasted good!

Not so far from the ruins, Senado Square is the shopping center of Macau. High-End brands and cozy boutiques can be found here. The colonization of the Europeans are well manifested to the modern and stylish buildings.

Guia Fortress

If you want an overlooking view of the city, go to Macau Tower or in our case, we went to Guia Fortress. Built-in 1600's, Guia Fortress gives a panoramic view of Macau. The old lighthouse is not working anymore but they offer stamp memorabilia inside the fortress where you can stamp to your notebook or passport ( if you like ) to commemorate your stay in Macau.

Endless walk from morning till night

Whenever I travel, there is this golden rule that never fails me- if you are unsure to the destination you want to go or you just want to be lost along with the unfamiliar place, always find where most of the crowd ( identifying tourists from locals ) are heading. THAT is definitely where the party is!

Me and my best friend Pearl, finding a touristy temple, thanks to the pack of Koreans that we saw.

I am secretly glancing at them coz I don't know exactly how to do the ritual, hehe

Hello from the other side of Macau! The gambling area where luxurious Casinos and Hotels are located! Once in your life, try this out.

Venetian Entrance goes Masquerade.

Betting on my twenty-four hours in Macau is nothing but pure bliss and relaxation. O, I almost forgot to mention the kind and accommodating locals!
